Poem: You don't know

Hello, another day another poem, I am, by the way, posting quite a lot of poetry on my blog, but don’t worry, I have some essays and stories in store that will be posted soon Inshaallah.

This poem turned out quite difficult to write, and it also took up more time than I had expected, I had aimed to write a classical "Poetry" piece with all the balance in words, rhymes, etc, and I did achieve it (to some extent at least).

You never know when the calamity is about to strike

When the darkness is about to fall

when you will be gripped in the hands of fright

There will be people of all kinds

Some watery eyes, some all smiles

Some under the blessed shade, Some left out to rot and fade

You never know what the next hour will bring

The luxuries of this world, or a grave calling for a dig

On the roller coaster of this life

Just mute out all the noise

Wait for some time

Reconnect with him, the most merciful, the most wise

Then start all over again

For You never know what the next hour shall bring

Note: I also sent this piece to the youth club blog, maybe it will be published there as well, or maybe not.
